Baroque by Candlelight - a portal to the 17th century, to the times of the luxury of Versailles and the mysterious foggy London. This evening we will combine two geniuses of a great era: Jean-Baptiste LULLI: the favorite of the "Sun King" Louis XIV. The music of the French court is majestic, danceable and impeccably elegant. Henry PURCELL: "British Orpheus". His melodies are the depth of feelings, passion and magical melancholy of old London. Allow yourself the luxury of peace. Baroque music by candlelight is therapy for the soul in the semi-darkness of a cozy hall. Performers: Chamber ensemble of the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Dnipropetrovsk Philharmonic. Conductor: Stephen Dominic ELLERY - a famous conductor from Great Britain actively tours. The geography of his tours is the whole World. He has conducted symphony and opera orchestras in Japan, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, France, Switzerland. 10 years ago, Stephen founded the Polish Opera in London and presents a new opera performance every year. Last year, Stephen was invited to conduct the International Orchestra of Catalonia. Stephen is a multi-instrumentalist. He plays the saxophone and guitar, and participates in jazz and rock bands.
