Howard Shore wrote music for «The Lord of the Rings» that became one of the main elements shaping the trilogy’s identity. The coziness of the Shire, the grandeur of Rivendell, the warrior spirit of Rohan, and the darkness approaching from Mordor – performed by the Kyiv City Quintet, these themes can bring the most epic scenes from the films to life. His work on the soundtrack earned the composer three «Oscars». Now these famous compositions will be performed live for you.Tolkien’s Fantasy World in Howard Shore’s Majestic Melodies
Calm and elation, despair and drama – this musical journey has everything that shaped the inner state and fate of the characters: the journey of the Fellowship of the Ring, dangerous encounters, great battles, losses, and moments when strength of spirit proves more important than weapons. The chamber performance allows you to hear the familiar soundtrack in a different way. The melodies become closer, individual instrumental lines come to the forefront, and familiar themes take on new nuances. It is through music that the Middle-earth of J. R. R. Tolkien opens up most vividly – complex, beautiful, and filled with legends. In a single evening, the music will take you through the saga’s main lands and events, leaving familiar images, heroes, and melodies in your memory.
