Ghostly cart
Viktor Sjostrom

Sweden – 1921 – 107 min

On New Year's Eve, a cart appears that takes the souls of the dead, and with it the memory of the life lived returns. The past appears not as a memory, but as an inevitable consequence of every action. Cruelty, indifference and fear are no longer hidden behind excuses. This is a harsh and deeply moral film about responsibility that cannot be canceled, and about a chance that is always more fragile than time.
