Roy Andersson

Sweden – 2007 – 95 min

It is a mosaic of small lives in which people seem to apologize for their very existence. For weakness, for fear, for the inconvenience of being alive. Each scene is a separate dead end, but together they form a strange, compassionate picture. This is a film about vulnerability without heroism and about life that goes on not thanks to, but in spite of.
