On October 7 at 7:00 PM, the 3rd International Monodrama Festival SOLO PLAYS FEST will feature the play "The Trumpeter" performed by British actress Kristine Milward. This is a powerful and emotional story based on real events during the defense of Mariupol in the spring of 2022.

The play and performance "The Trumpeter" are based on real events. During the defense of Mariupol in the spring of 2022, the brigade commander was forced to use both the main and auxiliary personnel of the brigade, including the entire composition of its brass band, in battles.
The main character is Trumpeter. Trumpeter is not just a call sign, and he is not just a performer in the brigade's brass band. Trumpeter graduated from the composition department of the conservatory. He is a true Creator, he was born to create, not to kill. Therefore, Trumpeter, even during the war, is in search of the formula of Harmony - "harmony of war". And this should become a real "bomb" in music and take him to the peak of musical Olympus. The performance inspires optimism and dreams of a future full of Harmony and Love.
The premiere of the play took place on February 22, 2024 in Wiesbaden (Germany). In July-August 2024, the play was performed at the Frinbow Theatre (London, UK).
