"Last Summer" is an adapted story based on Ray Bradbury's legendary work "Dandelion Wine." This play is not conducted in Bradbury's language, it is conducted in the language of each of us!
The performance "Yesterday's Summer 2.0" in Odessa will take place at the Theater "Behind My Backstage".
We invite you to the chamber stage of the theater "Behind My Backstage" so that each viewer, thanks to complete immersion in the performance, can visit their own city of childhood and youth.
Douglas Spaulding is no longer 12...but 35, but in his childhood town of Greentown, he is still the same teenager who ran to the ravine to pick dandelions, watched his grandfather make dandelion wine, and witnessed all the life's ups and downs that happen to the locals. One day, as a grown man, Douglas meets his first love, Ellen Loomis, and dreams of visiting Greentown...what will happen?
The viewer is at arm's length from the actor, and what unites them is the most important thing - the opportunity to remember those who are no longer there and see those who are in the same images that are so important and warm to the heart of each of us!
