An Open Space for Artists of the Third Millennium

The Les Kurbas State Center for Theatre Arts is an innovative multifunctional space in Kyiv, established in 1994 and located at 23v Volodymyrska Street. The institution began its work a year later. Nelli Korniienko became the director and founder of the Les Kurbas National Center for Theatre Arts. The center's main purpose is to serve as a space for bringing diverse creative ideas to life - even the craziest ones. That is why it encourages young artists who apply innovative methods and conduct bold artistic experiments, integrating the experience of contemporary global culture into the artistic and intellectual space of today's Ukraine - and vice versa.

The Les Kurbas Center has three departments:

• research department;
• artistic and theatrical research laboratories;
• cultural studies department.

• Zaporizhzhia Municipal Theatre Vie;
• Wild Theatre;
• MIST Theatre;
• ProEnglish Theatre;
• Contemporary Drama and Comedy Theatre;
