The very first performance of the theater, which six months after its opening won two "Kyiv Pectorals": as the best performance of the year and as the best work of the choreographer. Radu Poklitaru showed Carmen in character, the one that Prosper Mérimée wrote about, and for this purpose he changed the order of the numbers in Georges Bizet's opera. So, there is dancing here, but perhaps you will constantly be drawn to sing along.

Carmen in this play is the heroine of a TV movie in which everything goes as it should: a stunning female fight, the first murder, arrest, Carmen choosing Jose for her own salvation, temptation, escape, asymmetrical love, a prediction of death, the appearance of a star rival, crazy jealousy... But each time, the course of events in the "TV movie" is directly influenced by the strangest character in the play: a girl sitting in front of the TV.

Who is she? Why does she control other people's lives? It turns out that she needs Jose: she waited for him and waited. Indeed, in Bizet's opera, the main character had a fiancée named Micaela, whom he abandoned... And Radu Poklitaru showed what a character who is tired of being only a supporting character is capable of. Or, how a two-part movie seen on TV can come true, if you believe him.
