FANCON

On June 8-9, 2024, the FANCON festival will be held in Kyiv for the first time.

With books and videos and board games, with comics, manga and fantasy, with popular bloggers and the LARP sector, with cosplay and k-pop cover dance, with themed photo booths and a fair.

FANCON is a space for pop culture fans, a mix of worlds and cultures from genre classics to the present, as well as support for Ukrainian creators.

In the program of the festival:

• Games sector: video games and computer games, tabletop and tabletop role-playing games (DnD)
• Art&Books sector: books, manga, comics, artists' alley
• UA YouTube sector: Ukrainian YouTube
• LARP sector: live role-playing games (Live action Role-playing game)
• Sector UA Heroes: real Ukrainian superheroes
• Cosplay & K-Pop Cover Dance Show on the main stage
• Thematic fan stands and interactive zones from well-known companies
• Market: Geek Bazaar
• Food court
• Thematic photo zones

Ukrainian bloggers who prepare content about games, music, the film industry, books and everything related to pop culture will meet with viewers and subscribers at FANCON. Cosplayers and cover dancers will show new images and performances on the main stage. Publishers of books and comics, writers and authors of comics will share publishing news and chat with readers.

During the festival:

• presentations from game developers;
• presentations of novelties from publishing houses;
• meetings with Ukrainian and world authors of fantasy, science fiction and horror, actors of cinema and video games;
• thematic meetings with fans from Ukrainian YouTubers;
• symphony concert by LUMOS Orchestra.

A separate goal of the festival is to raise funds for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, the organizers will maximally support FANCON participants who will gather at the location of the event: they will allocate an area, help hold an original thematic event for this.

The FANCON team includes people who created and are creating Comic Con Ukraine, New Year in Sofia, Eurovision 2017, Otobe, Video Fever, K-POP UNITE FESTIVAL and other festivals and public events, as well as the founding writers of the Fantastic Talk(s) YouTube project ).

The International Exhibition Center is a modern, world-class complex for holding events at the highest level. Here is the largest temporary shelter that can accommodate more than 10,000 people, complete independence from weather conditions and more than 10,000 square meters for stands, photo zones, stages, thematic sectors, the design of which can be limited only by imagination.

ℹ️ Useful information:

🧸 Children up to the age of 7 (inclusive) can attend the FANCON festival FREE of charge when accompanied by a person over 16 years old and on the condition that there are no more than 2 children per person. Such a person must have a document certifying the age of the child (or a copy of the document).
✅ There are no age restrictions
✅ Participants of hostilities can purchase a personal ticket with a 50% discount. For confirmation, you should have a UBD certificate with you.
🛡 In the event of an air alarm, the festival events are stopped, and the schedule of planned events is shifted and coordinated.
