"Hamlet" is a story about a desperate attempt to set the joint of "dislocated time." The Danish state is suffocating in the web of intrigue, strife, and falsehood that has prevailed since the murder of the king and the accession to the throne of Claudius.
Hamlet, the rightful heir, finds himself faced with a fatal choice: to avenge his father and take on the burden of the crown or to remain true to himself. For him, leading the state means dissolving in a world of dirty scandals that are alien to his nature. However, he believes that only he is able to change this order, making people honest and worthy.
The plot of this drama is familiar to everyone, but we have tried to reinterpret it through form, finding Shakespeare's hidden clues in the set design and directorial decisions. We invite you to take a new look at Claudius and Gertrude, experience the complicated love of Ophelia and Hamlet, and witness Polonius' futile attempts to control the uncontrollable.
Actors and performers:
Director: Dasha Danchenko
