Premiere of the play Macarius of Valhalla

On February 28 at 6:00 PM, the premiere of the play "Macarius of Valhalla" based on the play by veteran and playwright Yuriy Vetkin, directed by Oleksa Gladushevsky, will take place on the stage of the Kyiv Maly Opera.

This is a modern Ukrainian drama about a hero after the war. About a return that does not guarantee peace. About an inner Valhalla, where everyone fights their own battle for memory, dignity and the right to live on. Yuriy Vetkin's text is born from personal experience, so it sounds frank and without embellishment.

The production will take place in the aesthetics, glamour and recognizable style of Oleksa Gladushevsky. Through metaphor, multi-layered images and hidden meanings, the director creates a stage space in which the beauty of form contrasts with the depth of content. It will be emotionally, visually strong and conceptual.

The premiere is taking place in support of the defenders from the 36th and 79th brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
