On Sunday, June 7, 2026, the Myroslav Skoryk Lviv National Philharmonic invites audiences to the enchanting musical "MISS FRANCES" - a romantic and at the same time dramatic story of Galician love, based on the music of Bohdan Wesolovsky and other Galician composers. The musical received a special prize from the European Cultural Foundation.

The whole story begins in the Kleparov district behind the so-called "Rohatki" in Lviv. Lviv batyars and various working people lived here for a long time. Apparently, it was somewhere in the shade of the gardens of upper Kleparov that the passionate love of a young, lazy hairdresser and a seductive, charming beauty, the daughter of a local butcher - Miss Franciska, was born. However, when the girl's father found out that the hairdresser had serious hopes of becoming his son-in-law, he categorically refused.

Despair gripped the lovers. Run away? Accept fate? Get married secretly? There were many options. However, fate decided otherwise... Time seemed to stand still during the musical! The audience forgot about everyday affairs and experiences and immersed themselves in a fascinating and amazing musical-romantic story, which, although it ended dramatically, proved that love is the strongest feeling, which remains strong and faithful to the end.

The name of Bohdan Wesolovsky was well known in the world, he was called the king of Ukrainian dance music, he combined exquisite European melodies with Ukrainian lyrics.
