Over the Hummingbird's Nest, based on the novel by Ken Kesey, is a story about a system that only pretends to heal, but in reality cripples; about freedom that is born where it is least expected.
This will not just be a psychiatric hospital as a space for action, a thoughtful viewer will read a model of society where comfort is ensured by complete obedience, and order - by the loss of voice. At the center is a rebellion against depersonalization, a clash of charisma and control, laughter as a form of resistance and the fragile border between norm and otherness.
We are talking about the choice: to adapt or to remain oneself, and about the freedom to be oneself, as a basic component of dignity. And about the price you have to pay for it.
