When mutual respect and humanity are replaced by pettiness and ordinary selfishness, relationships are threatened not only in the family, but also in society as a whole.
The performance "Kaydashi" in Odesa will take place at the Ukrainian Theater.
The Odessa Theater named after V. Vasylko invites you to the performance "Kaydashi" based on the iconic story by Ivan Nechuy-Levytsky. The creative team included:
The story "The Kaidash Family", created back in 1879, remains surprisingly relevant today. At the center of the famous story is the Kaidash family: Omelko, his wife, sons and daughters-in-law, and next to them are neighbors, godparents, and acquaintances with whom they share both holidays and everyday life. Their life unfolds according to the usual scenario - with joys and worries, conflicts and reconciliations, where the eternal questions of the relationship between parents and children, as well as the boundaries between "our own" and "common", constantly clash. In this family story, the funny is closely intertwined with the dramatic. The Kaidashs' everyday disputes - sometimes funny and seemingly insignificant - are actually very recognizable. They reflect the same conflicts that arise today - in families, between neighbors, and even more broadly - in society, where human relationships remain just as complex and contradictory.
The duration of the performance is 2 hours and 20 minutes, with an intermission. We are waiting for you!
