This concert will combine three different musical worlds — the spiritual concentration of Olivier Messiaen, contemporary Ukrainian composer thought, and the monumental symphonic tradition of Johannes Brahms.
"The Ascension" (L'Ascension) by Olivier Messiaen is one of the French composer's most famous orchestral works, full of spiritual symbolism, special sound plasticity, and a sense of timelessness.

Concerto for Cello and Orchestra by Alexander Rodin - a new work by the Ukrainian composer will be presented to listeners for the first time in Odessa, performed by the National Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra.

soloist - People's Artist of Ukraine IVAN KUCHER , who is known for his refined skill and ability to stylistically accurately convey the image laid down by the composer in the work.
Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 68 by Johannes Brahms is a work on which the composer worked for many years and which became an important milestone in the history of symphonic music of the 19th century.
Three works, created in different eras and in different artistic contexts, will be united in one program around the theme of spiritual search, creative renewal, and the power of musical tradition. We invite you to a special concert, full of bright premieres and powerful orchestral sound!
