“The Lesson of Faust” is a one-man show by actor and performer Yevhen Bal.
As a teenager, he read Faust and it changed his life. Drawing on his experience, he tells the story of Faust's various incarnations: a real person, a legend, a character, and Goethe's work itself. The legend of the thirst for knowledge and the deal with the devil receives a fresh, original reading, complemented by the actor's ironic comments and digressions.

The means are minimalistic — a mustache, a wig, lipstick — but this is enough for Yevhen to introduce a new character. In two and a half hours, he will play a dozen roles from this great play, and you will not only be able to learn the content, the history of writing and translations of the book, but also experience your own imaginary journey through time and space.
