Premiere of a comedy about Hollywood, illusions and big dreams
The "Vizavi" Theater presents the premiere of the play "Sunset Boulevard" - a modern and ironic reading of one of the most famous plots of world cinema. The audience is invited to a journey to Hollywood of the 50s, where bohemian life, silent films, intrigues and dreams intertwine in a vivid theatrical story.
Young screenwriter Joe Gillis is eager to conquer Hollywood and is making plans for the future with talented screenwriter Betty. A chance encounter leads him to a mysterious mansion on Sunset Boulevard, where former silent film star Norma Desmond lives. Locked in a world of her own illusions, she never stops believing in her grand return to the screen. Joe's appearance changes the lives of all the residents of the house and sets off a series of comical and unexpected events.
The performance combines subtle humor, irony, and vivid acting. World-famous musical hits will be performed on stage, and the atmosphere will be complemented by spectacular scenery and exquisite costumes.
Starring: Yuriy Tymtsunik, Iryna Marchuk, Boris Knyzhenko, Tamara Morozova.
The director of the performance is Yevgeny Morozov, artistic director of the VIZAVI theater.
The premiere will take place on October 2 at the Actor's House. Starting at 6:00 PM.
