Ivan Kocherha Theatre – the main theatre stage of the Zhytomyr region

The Zhytomyr Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theatre named after I. Kocherha is the center of cultural life in the city of Zhytomyr and the region. The theatre is located in a purpose-built building in the very center of the city at 6 Soborna Square. The institution was named after the prominent Ukrainian playwright Ivan Kocherha in 1981.

Today, under the leadership of director Nataliia Rostova, the theatre is going through a period of creative growth and flourishing. Reviving and promoting theatrical art, the theatre's team is attracting an increasingly large audience. In performances and other events, audiences find a source of the bright, positive emotions and new experiences that are so necessary for everyone today.
