The Luhansk Regional Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater invites you to the premiere of the comedy "Emigrants" based on the play by Polish playwright Slawomir Mrożek.

A masterful combination of lively irony and deep meanings

The play tells the story of two men from the same country who find themselves abroad. AA, a native of the western region, came for an internship to finalize his academic work. XX, from the east, went to work to provide for his three minor children. At this time, war breaks out in their homeland. The issue of returning home becomes painful and difficult for both. The heroes look at life differently, but they are united by something in common - culture, roots, land and the fear of returning, ending up at the front, losing their relatives. Every Sunday, XX comes to the train station to buy a ticket and return to his family, who refuse to flee their homeland, but each time cannot dare.

But this day is different – Christmas. A holiday of warmth, miracles, and reconciliation. A time to seek understanding, support each other, and believe that the shared dream of returning will finally come true.
