"Zorya. The Beginning" is a dramatic play based on the play "Talan", which Mykhailo Starytsky wrote for Maria Zankovetska. This is the first Ukrainian play about the life of an actor and the Ukrainian intelligentsia, where Starytsky acted not only as a director, but also played a cameo role. The new production of the play, created as part of the "Search" project, is presented by director Mykola Babyn.

The main character, who is already accustomed to humility and powerlessness, is given the opportunity to make a choice: to remain a victim or finally resist injustice. Director Mykola Babyn notes that the creators of the play sought not only to recreate the circumstances in which the playwright himself lived, but also to more deeply comprehend Starytsky's true vision of the fate of his characters.
