Lesia Ukrainka National Academic Theater of Drama

The Lesya Ukrainka Drama Theater in Kyiv is located in the central part of the capital on the street. Bogdan Khmelnitsky, 5.

The beginning of the theater in Kyiv was at the end of the 19th century. The troupe led by Nikolai Solovtsov became the first collective. The cast continued to perform even in the war years. Later, the troupe recovered and the theater in Kyiv received an academic title as a reward for professional activity.

In the theater of drama. Lesia Ukrainka was performed by famous cultural figures: actors, directors, artists, composers. The repertoire includes productions of classical works and contemporary plays, comedies, dramas, musicals, and concerts. Spectators from all over Ukraine and neighboring countries come to appreciate the masterful play on stage.

Today in the reconstructed building of the Lesya Ukrainka Theater in Kyiv there are 3 rooms:

1. Large main stage - 750 seats.
2. The average new scene is 136 seats.
3. Small stage under the roof - for 65 seats.
