Becoming an artist
Natalia Garipova is a Ukrainian stand-up comedian, screenwriter, radio and TV host, producer. A true star of the humorous genre, the first and most successful comedian of the Ukrainian stage comes from Vinnytsia, from a family of doctors. Due to the professional distribution of her parents, the family ended up in Bender (Transnistria). However, in 1992, when war broke out in the region, the family was forced to flee to Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, which is in the Odessa region.
The first years were difficult. The family lived in hardship, barely making ends meet. However, despite all the difficulties, the parents found an opportunity to develop their children by involving them in various clubs. Natalia graduated from art school, studied singing in the choir, danced, and rowed kayaks. The girl's interests also included weightlifting, basketball, and even rugby. In addition, while studying at the lyceum, Natalia took an active part in the work of the environmental club, was part of the theater group and the student newspaper. Therefore, the future humor star made her creative debut on stage at a young age.
Creative path
After graduating from the lyceum, Natalia entered the Academy of Cold, choosing the specialty "Engineer of Non-Conventional Energy Sources". However, creativity does not let go even during her studies: Garipova writes poetry and looks for any opportunities for self-expression. Eventually, Natalia and her friend assemble a KVC team called “Who’s Left After the Circus?” A local businessman notices the potential of the talented girls. With his support, the comedians begin to confidently achieve recognition and gain popularity among humor fans.
The “Who’s Left After the Circus?” team begins performing in various CIS cities, and later breaks into the Ukrainian Higher League. At the same time, Natalia Garipova, as part of the “Duck Sisters” duo, takes part in the Odessa version of Comedy Club – Comedy Morgan. Over time, this stage also comes to an end, and Natalia, not wanting to stop, continues to conquer the comedy industry. The artist tries herself in various stage images. However, one of them becomes a real calling card. This is Aunt Natasha, a spectacular and colorful saleswoman from Privoz, who conquers the audience with her unsurpassed charisma.
Style and development
Conquering new fans, Natalia strives for creative improvement. Participation in the Fight Club project, corporate events throughout the country - Garipova continues to expand her creative horizons. At the same time, she works as an editor of the Odessa League of the KVK and creates the "A" theater on the basis of the Law Academy. On the stage of the theater, she stages performances based on the works of Monty Python, Eugene Ionesco and other prominent authors.
At some point, Natalia feels the need for something new. However, she does not yet understand in which direction to move. Another personal shock becomes the impetus for radical changes. Garipova leaves her native Odessa and moves to Kyiv. In the capital, the talented author begins working as a screenwriter in the Schumacher Brothers team. At the same time, she meets Maxim Papernyk. Creative cooperation gives Natalia confidence in her own abilities. Later, she moved to the production of the STB TV channel, where she participated in the creation of the popular and successful series “When We Are Home”.
However, later there came a time when the creative personality became cramped. Garipova joined the filming of short films. The producer personally financed the projects with money earned from script work. The films received numerous awards at international festivals, but did not bring a significant breakthrough in her career. So in 2014, Natalia Garipova tried herself in the stand-up genre. Her debut on the stage of a metropolitan bar turned out to be successful. And later, the bright author began to devote all her free time to comedy. Eventually, Natalia organized a solo stand-up tour. And the artist’s signature style became known to an increasingly wider audience.
