ANTAYTLD is a Ukrainian metalcore project featuring musicians from Rabbit Leader, Guerilla Noir, Septa, Garmata Syndicate, and The Nietzsche. The project was founded by Yevhen Tymchyk. ANTYTAYTLD’s music is uncompromising metalcore with ironic and sharply topical lyrics. Band members:

History of the Band’s Formation

ANTAYTLD was formed in the summer of 2024 around Yevhen Tymchyk, the frontman of Septa, The Nietzsche, and Nekura. Three other experienced musicians from the Ukrainian heavy music scene joined the new lineup: Dmytro Khitryi, Denys Zhukovskyi, and Yurii Romanenko. Together, they decided to move away from the familiar sound of their main bands and create music that would allow them more freedom, heaviness, and experimentation.

While the project was still gaining momentum, the musicians managed to write four songs. The band’s further development had to be partially put on hold for some time, as two of its members joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Choosing the Name

The name ANTYTAYTLD is a direct rendering of the English word Untitled, meaning «Untitled». This choice reflects the characteristic self-irony of the band and its deliberate rejection of unnecessary pathos. Instead of a complicated name that would immediately explain the genre or concept, the musicians chose an extremely simple word with a lightly sarcastic tone.

The idea of being «untitled» runs throughout ANTYTAYTLD’s work. Even the debut mini-album was given the concise name «IPI» – a phonetic transliteration of the English abbreviation EP. The track titles are also deliberately stripped of unnecessary complexity – «Fast», «New», «Powerful», «Electronic». This everyday simplicity only emphasizes the meaning of the music, keeping the main focus not on the title but on what happens inside the composition.

Creative Career

Debut Mini-Album

In March 2025, ANTYTAYTLD released their debut mini-album «IPI». The release immediately demonstrated the band’s defining characteristic – a combination of uncompromising heavy music with bitter irony and lyrics in which simple formulations conceal complex emotions.

Roman Bondar joined the creation of the debut EP, while musicians from The Unsleeping also contributed to the release. This collaboration gave the record even greater sonic and emotional depth without changing ANTYTAYTLD’s fundamental character.

The deliberately straightforward song titles work here as a contrast to the depth of the subject matter. Behind their outward simplicity lie despair, fatalism, and traumatic experience. This is why the debut release sounds not like a random collection of heavy tracks, but like a cohesive conversation about the experience of a modern person forced to adapt to a difficult reality.

New Achievements

Following the success of the debut EP «IPI», ANTYTAYTLD prepared an expanded deluxe edition featuring four additional new songs. The first single from this quartet was «One More» – a self-ironic diss aimed at himself, in which Yevhen Tymchyk effectively becomes the main target of his own sarcasm within two minutes. The video for the song turned into a genuine parade of representatives of the Ukrainian underground. It featured vocalists from Burned Time Machine, Nora Plan, Telema, BLIND8, KILL! KILL! KILL!, 0%Mercury, Grayshapes, Ignea, Volaj, White Ward, and others. The large number of prominent representatives of the heavy music scene turned the video into more than just an accompaniment to the release – it became a kind of portrait of the contemporary Ukrainian underground community.

The cover of «One More» is also built around irony – its creators reinterpreted the visual image from Taylor Swift’s new album. The deluxe edition was then expanded with three more works that differ in mood. «Acoustic» is a ballad about neighborhood friends, recorded together with Oleksii Bohomolnyi of Omana. «Electronic» is a song created in collaboration with Ship Her Son and dedicated to the digital future. Meanwhile, «New» demonstrates the more progressive side of ANTYTAYTLD’s sound and shows that the band does not intend to confine itself to a single musical template.

For autumn 2026, the band has planned a concert tour across Ukraine, during which it is expected to present its new album live to audiences.

Musical Style

ANTYTAYTLD’s musical style and lyrics demonstrate a conscious desire to move away from the formulas in which the members previously worked. The band focuses on an extremely raw, dense, and uncompromising sound and is not afraid to leave sharp edges and a sense of live energy in it.

The foundation of the sound is metalcore and energetic metallic hardcore. This is heavy music built around powerful breakdowns, an aggressive rhythm section, and a strong live impact. At the same time, ANTYTAYTLD does not strictly adhere to a single subgenre. In some works, the musicians emphasize the progressive side of their sound, while in others they experiment with digital and industrial motifs.

Themes of the Songs

Each track can reveal a different side of the band, but the overall emotional foundation remains unchanged. ANTYTAYTLD’s music sounds like a response to contemporary reality – a difficult reality overloaded with challenges and requiring endurance, inner strength, and maximum honesty.

The lyrics, written primarily by Yevhen Tymchyk, complement the heavy sound and make it even sharper. They are characterized by irony, sarcasm, and directness. There is no attempt here to embellish difficult emotions – on the contrary, the band speaks about them directly and harshly.

Civic Position and Social Activity

The members of ANTYTAYTLD actively respond to the challenges of the full-scale war and incorporate support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine directly into their professional activities.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, frontman Yevhen Tymchyk has been involved in volunteering. He regularly organizes and completes targeted fundraising campaigns for the needs of Ukrainian military personnel, including supporting an Odesa Territorial Defense Brigade and other units. Other band members, who also perform in underground projects, are likewise involved in volunteer initiatives in their respective cities.

ANTYTAYTLD’s concert activity has become another way to turn popularity and creativity into practical assistance. The musicians use their «only tour of Ukraine» and individual performances as platforms for fundraising. Part of the proceeds from ticket and merchandise sales, as well as donations collected directly during concerts, is directed toward the needs of the Ukrainian army.

At the same time, the very creation of ANTYTAYTLD contributes to the development of the contemporary Ukrainian-language heavy music scene. The musicians demonstrate that Ukrainian metalcore can be simultaneously harsh, distinctive, ironic, and relevant.
