History of the band
Neighbors Will Tolerate is a Ukrainian rock band founded in Mykolaiv in 2017. The young Ukrainian band was born from the lively, slightly chaotic, but very sincere musical atmosphere of Mykolaiv in the late 2010s. The initiator of the creation of the group was vocalist and leader Artur Zubarev, and drummer Oleksandr joined the formation of the group, who, like many local musicians, managed to play in several projects at once.
In 2017–2018, the city was literally buzzing with music - local clubs constantly hosted new bands, solyankas took place almost every week. The audience was so active that performers from Kyiv were drawn to come here. It was in this gathering that the musicians began to intersect, gradually get closer and experiment. There are several stories of acquaintance between the participants. And they are all different, which only emphasizes the organicity and ease of the emergence of the group.
Creative path
The first concerts of the group Susidy sterplyat were held at small venues, but even then the live performances were distinguished by their emotionality, charisma and bold combination of genres. The beginning of the creative path was as independent as possible - the first tracks appeared on SoundCloud, and the release on Spotify, YouTube and other platforms became a separate challenge that the musicians mastered on their own. Without a producer, without ready-made instructions, but with a clear understanding that their music should sound to a wider audience.
Over time, the scene for Susidy sterplyat noticeably expanded. Club concerts were replaced by large venues, festivals and full-fledged tours. And the tracks began to steadily gain hundreds of thousands of listens. Fans called the group artists whose work humanity has yet to fully understand, while the music industry increasingly paid attention to their style, energy and recognizable sound formula. Everyone agreed on one thing - the group works by its own rules, and this is what brings popularity.
The debut release was released in 2020. And wide recognition came in 2023–2024, when the singles “Girl from Pornhub”, “Addiction”, “Sleep is a small death” and other compositions appeared, which secured the status of one of the brightest stars of the alternative scene for the group. In 2024, the second full-length album “From the Deepest Corners” was released - an emotionally rich work that became a kind of reflection of the group's internal state during the difficult 2023. This album received recognition from both fans and critics, confirming the maturity and depth of the team's creativity.
In the same year, Susidy sterplyat loudly announced themselves on the festival stage. Performances at Faine Misto in Lviv and Atlas United in Kyiv became important events. There, the band not only demonstrated its concert form, but also joined charitable initiatives in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In June 2025, the group presented another landmark track - "Zabudutsya zhali" with lyrics by Vasyl Symonenko, adding a composition to its catalog that combined modern sound with classical Ukrainian poetry.
Style and development of the band
In terms of genre, the band boldly mixes pop-rock, punk, post-punk, rock, rave and metal, creating their own musical “smoothie”, which sounds especially bright live. The members call their style “nefor-rock”, and this definition accurately conveys the spirit of their music and stage performance. Powerful riffs, lyrical and at the same time sharp texts, live energy and a feeling of complete dedication make each concert an event after which fans leave either with relief or with a desire to once again immerse themselves in bright emotions. This is how Susidy Torplyat confidently forms their own culture, remaining a noticeable and original phenomenon of the modern Ukrainian scene.
Today, among the band’s achievements are two albums, dozens of popular singles, festivals, concerts and several large-scale tours. The band's audience is extremely diverse: from teenagers to adult listeners, who are united by the need for honest, emotional music. The success of Neighbors Will Tolerate largely rests on demonstrative rebellion, a combination of aggressive guitars, creaking synths and lyrics about love, mental health and internal conflicts. This combination allows each track to evoke a wide range of feelings - from an ironic smile to serious reflections.
