VLADA K (Vladyslava Kitseliuk) is a Ukrainian singer-songwriter, TV host, and influencer, who is today regarded as a style icon and one of the most energetic representatives of the Ukrainian entertainment industry.
The Artist’s Early Years
A bright representative of the new wave of Ukrainian pop music, Vladyslava was born in Ivano-Frankivsk in 2012. Her first thoughts about the stage appeared in early childhood. According to the singer, there was no single defining moment – it was simply a feeling that had accompanied her since she was very young. By the age of four or five, she was singing everywhere – at home, in the car, in the bathroom, and at children's celebrations.
One of her school performances finally made her realize that music would become her life's work. Standing on stage with a microphone in her hands, Vladyslava felt that she was not just performing songs but was able to convey emotions to her audience. From that moment on, the future artist could no longer imagine her life without creativity, concerts, and the stage.
The Beginning of Her Music Career
Vladyslava's childhood was incredibly eventful, as her journey in the music industry began at a very young age. From the age of six, she studied at a private lyceum in Ivano-Frankivsk while simultaneously taking vocal, choreography, and TV journalism classes. On February 14, 2019, the solo project VLADA K was launched, marking the young performer's professional debut.
That same year, when Vlada was only seven years old, she won the title of «Mini Miss Ukraine» and later claimed victory at the international MINI MISS UNITED WORLD competition. In August 2021, the artist released her debut EP Boom. The record included five Ukrainian-language songs – BOOM, «Tarantella», «Hide-and-Seek», «Three Hearts», and «Spring». The release showcased the singer's powerful vocals and recognizable style.
Creative Development
In 2022, VLADA K's discography expanded with new songs – Ukrainian Pain, «Challenge», Seniorita, and BRO. Despite her young age, the singer had already achieved considerable success. She successfully combined school with her music career, worked on her own television program, and had already built a repertoire of more than ten tracks.
Later, Vladyslava felt ready to represent her country on the international stage and applied for the national selection for the «Junior Eurovision Song Contest». She was subsequently included in the longlist for the 2024 selection.
The artist admits that being a singer at such a young age is both a great happiness and a serious challenge. What she values most is the opportunity to do what she truly loves and discover herself through music and creativity. At the same time, this path requires constant growth, overcoming self-doubt, accepting criticism, and growing up in front of her fans. Despite all the challenges, Vladyslava is convinced that this is her true calling, and every new concert, single, or release only strengthens that belief.
Style and Themes of Her Songs
As Vladyslava grew up, so did her music. While her early work was primarily children's pop, her repertoire gradually evolved into a more mature and emotional sound. Today, her genre is contemporary pop music with polished electronic production, dynamic rhythms, and modern arrangements.
One of the central themes of VLADA K's early work was faith in kindness and miracles. This idea is reflected in the well-known song «Believe in Miracles», recorded in collaboration with KOLA. At the same time, the artist increasingly explores themes of first love, romantic experiences, disappointment, the search for a soulmate, and sincerity in relationships. Songs such as «Memories» encourage listeners to reflect on the value of cherished moments, the power of memory, and the importance of preserving warm recollections. VLADA K's latest work also reflects contemporary Ukrainian realities, the desire for peace, hope for a brighter future, and faith in victory.
Social Activities
At the age of ten, Vlada's life, like that of millions of Ukrainian children, was dramatically changed by the full-scale war. In her interviews, the singer has repeatedly admitted that the air raid sirens forced her to grow up much earlier than she would have wished.
Despite these difficult circumstances, the artist strives to support others through her work. She believes that today the social mission of a performer is not only important but essential. When there is so much anxiety and pain around, music, a kind word, or even a simple children's fairy tale can bring warmth and comfort.
This is how the joint initiative between VLADA K and the National Children's Specialized Hospital «Okhmatdyt» came to life. Together with well-known Ukrainian artists, she participated in recording Ukrainian folk tales to give young patients a few moments of peace, comfort, and faith in goodness. For the singer, this project became an opportunity to remind children that even in the most difficult times, childhood should remain a fairy tale. Vlada believes that creativity should be about more than music—it should also be about people, because today everyone strives to be helpful and support others in every possible way.
