Becoming an artist
Volodymyr Goryansky is a Ukrainian actor, TV presenter, People's Artist of Ukraine. The future star of stage and screen was born in the mining town of Kadiyivka in the Luhansk region. Four children grew up in the family. His father worked in a mine. When Volodymyr was 14 years old, the head of the family passed away. After the death of her husband, the mother raised two sons and two daughters alone. The youngest in the family, Volodya, was his mother's favorite. The actor still remembers how his mother supported him. When his son went to study in another city, she sent money and necessary things.
Since childhood, Volodymyr was interested in the world of culture and art. He was especially fond of theater. The boy took part in performances of a children's amateur group, where he could plunge into the world of play and reincarnations. As Volodymyr later recalled, the stage became a kind of refuge for the young man. The time spent in the theater helped him to escape from life's difficulties for a while and find solace in creativity.
Volodya dreamed of fame and recognition. But the path to success was not easy. The young man sang in the choir of the registry office. And once he set his own record: he took part in fifty weddings in a day. To earn a living, he put up posters and sold tickets. He worked as a trolleybus controller and a night guard in a cafe. In 1979, Volodymyr completed his studies at the Dnipropetrovsk Theater School. And in 1996 he received a diploma from the Kyiv State Institute of Theatrical Art named after I. K. Karpenko-Kary.
Creative path
The artist's professional career began in 1989. Volodymyr Goryansky began working with the creative team of the Kyiv Academic Drama and Comedy Theater on the Left Bank of the Dnieper. He met many bright stars of the stage and began his own path to success. From 1991 to 1997, Goryansky held the position of director-manager at the theater.

But the real popularity among film fans and the attention of producers and directors was brought to the actor by his work in the series "The Birthday of the Bourgeois". Volodymyr recalls that at first he did not even know whether the series would appear on the screens at all. The film lay on the shelf for a whole year. And only later did fate decree that "The Bourgeois" was released and became a cult film. It was a real explosion in Ukrainian cinema. A new type of hero appeared on the screens - smart, educated, who achieved success on his own. The actors who played the main roles woke up as stars after the premiere and won the hearts of thousands of fans. For Goryansky, the series became fateful.
