Palace of Culture of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute is a well-known and popular leisure center for residents and guests of the capital. Since 1993, the Center for Culture and Arts of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" has confidently taken its place in the cultural and educational space of the country. During this time, the site has become an important point of intersection of art, education and public life.

Work on the construction of the institution's building was carried out in the 70s-80s of the last century - during the period of the most active expansion of the institute complex. The work processes were supervised by the chief architect of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Volodymyr Likhovodov. The building received a pronounced modernist design and characteristic color scheme.

In 2023, after the walls were repaired, the previously removed natural travertine stone cladding was returned to the facade of the KPI Center for Culture and Arts.

Features of the site

The concept of a full-fledged concert complex was the basis for the development of the KPI Palace of Culture. Along with concerts and performances by local and regional creative groups, events of a national scale are regularly held here. Such opportunities are provided by a modern hall with comfortable seats, professional lighting and sound equipment. The concert complex can accommodate up to 1,750 spectators, creating comfortable conditions for both artists and the public.

The Palace of Culture is built close to the seventh building of the university and is connected to it by a passage. At one time, the space around the building was complemented by fountains, which became part of the architectural image of the Knowledge Square. However, in the 2000s, they were dismantled.
