History of the artist's development

Gezweirdo (Vladislava Lepshyna) is a Ukrainian self-made artist and songwriter from the city of Kyiv. The future star of the new music scene grew up and received her education in the capital. Vlada grew up in the suburbs of Kyiv, where her parents' house was surrounded by greenery, and the mornings began with the singing of birds.

There were special traditions in Vladislava's family, which still remain an important part of her life today. Every year on Christmas and New Year's Eve, she, her mother and sister, would organize a cozy dinner in a women's circle. During such meetings, they would talk about gratitude for the past year, share dreams and plans, support each other and inspire each other to move forward. They would often light church candles, perceiving this as a symbolic cleansing from everything unnecessary and negative. According to the singer, it was these evenings that gave a feeling of strength and support for the female gender.

Music appeared in the girl's life early. Vladyslav began to study vocals at the studio in the Holosiivskyi district, singing from the age of eleven. Already at thirteen she was writing her own poems, which later became the basis of future compositions. After school, the artist received two higher educations at once - at the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University and the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. The girl also participated in numerous competitions and festivals, but real recognition came only when the performer found her own style, characteristic sound and manner of presentation.

Origin of the pseudonym

The stage name of the performer deserves special attention. The pseudonym Gezweirdo, which is read as "Гизвирдо", was created artificially and reflects the entire concept of the artist's work. The word "Weirdo" translates as "weird" or "eccentric person" and emphasizes Vlada's attraction to dark pop, atypical lyrics and a niche image. The "Gez" part is also a reference to the singer's family roots - it is not for nothing that she is presented on Instagram as Vlada Gez.

Creative path

Gezweirdo's creative debut took place in 2019. It was then that the first official releases of the artist under this pseudonym appeared on streaming platforms. The beginning of her career was a path of constant search: the young performer experimented with genres, tried different musical solutions and worked independently, in fact building herself as a self-made artist.

Without the support of large production centers, Vladislava gradually formed her own style, developed her creativity and created compositions that increasingly resonated with the modern audience. Each new single became another step towards the big stage, and each release helped to polish the recognizable sound of Gezweirdo.

Breakthrough with "Gaddemit"

The singer's real popularity came in the summer of 2023. It was then that the single "Gaddemit" became a viral hit on TikTok. Users created more than 19 thousand videos to the music of the track, and the composition itself went far beyond the usual trend and found a response from thousands of fans.

Gezweirdo explained that “Gaddemit” is not just a track, but a special emotional state. It is a feeling when you constantly think that you could have done differently, although in reality there was no other development of events. It is a fear of change and awareness of your own limitations. These are moments when it is so difficult that all you can do is turn on your favorite songs and dance. And at the same time, it is a look back with the understanding that despite everything you managed to cope. It is this sincerity that made the composition close to a large audience and brought the performer new recognition.

Style and mood of creativity

Gezweirdo’s creativity is distinguished by a special atmosphere. Her music balances between alternative pop and dark pop, creating a mystical, melancholic and deeply emotional space. The muted sound, delicate interweaving of electronic genres and the absence of a pursuit of places in the charts form the artist’s unique style.

All of Gezweirdo's songs are written by her own. The lyrics touch on the themes of inner experiences, loneliness, finding a home, mental trauma, and philosophical reflections on life. The singer does not hide her own vulnerability, turning it into the strength of her creativity. She easily combines Ukrainian and English, sometimes using modern slang, which makes the compositions especially close to a young audience.

Gezweirdo's visual style is no less recognizable. In video clips and social networks, the artist appears restrained, mysterious, and aesthetically adjusted. She often appears in glasses, uses neon lighting, and a nighttime urban atmosphere so that the listener focuses primarily on the music, rather than on the external attributes of the artist's image. It is this restraint, combined with inner charisma, that forms a special connection between Gezweirdo and her fans.

Creative development

The period from 2023 to 2026 was a time of rapid career growth for Gezweirdo. CreativityThe singer's career has undergone a noticeable transformation, and the artist herself has reached a new level in the Ukrainian music industry. MONATIK played an important role in this, who drew attention to the talented performer and invited her to perform as part of the "Art-Defense" charity tour in Chernivtsi. This collaboration became Gezweirdo's first big step into the world of modern Ukrainian musical culture.

The singer began 2026 with the release of the song Where Is My Home? This single was dedicated to Ukrainians who are looking for an answer to the difficult question: "Where is my home?". The song tells not about a geographical place, but about the inner state of the soul and an attempt to find support within oneself. The track caused a strong resonance among listeners and hit the Apple Music and iTunes dance charts not only in Ukraine, but also in Iceland and Estonia.

Earlier, in the summer of 2025, Gezweirdo presented the composition "Life Is Fine" - a song about absolute freedom in a world where chaos and uncertainty reign. The release entered the top fifty tracks of the Top 200 Ukraine rating by Shazam.

Social activity

Gezweirdo's social position is inextricably linked to supporting Ukrainians during the war. The artist regularly participates in charity concerts and fundraising for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using her own popularity as a tool for assistance.

On social networks, she actively disseminates information about humanitarian initiatives, talks about mental health, internal emigration and the need for mutual support. At the same time, the singer fundamentally does not turn volunteering into part of her own PR. Gezweirdo emphasizes that the most important thing is not personal recognition or star status, but the ability of society to unite for a common goal.
