Becoming an artist
Kateryna Olos grew up in a Surzhyk-speaking environment, where the influences of different cultures were combined. The girl’s father was originally from Transcarpathia and always spoke Ukrainian. Since childhood, Katya was drawn to the stage: she sang, participated in school concerts, dreamed of becoming an actor and tried to attract the attention of her parents.
The school years were not easy: the girl faced bullying from her peers. But she found her own way to react: instead of withdrawing into herself, she began to joke. It was humor that became an effective defense and the first step towards future creativity. Despite Katya's dream of becoming an actress, her parents advised her daughter to choose a more stable profession. Therefore, the girl entered the architectural faculty. But the creative streak did not give her rest - in parallel, Olos played in the KVN, participated in humorous projects and gradually returned to her true goal.
Although Kateryna completed her studies as an architect, she realized that this was not her path. Therefore, she went to Kyiv to seriously pursue an acting career. In 2020–2022, she studied at the Ukrainian Film School, where she formed a base for work in the industry and made her film debut.

Katerina felt that she wanted to move on and reveal her style more deeply - this is how stand-up appeared in her life. Today, the comic is actively developing solo performances, working on new programs and forming her own repertoire. For May 2026, Katya Olos announced a major solo show “Who am I?” in Kyiv - a large-scale project that she had been preparing for over two years. Such a performance is no longer just an evening of stand-up, but a full-fledged creative release, combining humor, personal stories and deep meanings.
In the spring of 2026, together with Anton Zhitlov, Kateryna launched the initiative “Stand-up for the military and veterans”. This project has an important social mission - to help defenders through comedy and self-expression.
