Key Biographical Facts
Kostiantyn Trembovetskyi was born in warm and welcoming Odesa, his mother’s hometown. The future comedy star has Bulgarian and Ukrainian blood running through his veins, and Kostiantyn’s personality combines southern calmness with a penchant for lively irony and sentimentality. After graduating from secondary school, he enrolled at Odesa Polytechnic University, where he was supposed to study cultural studies (his interest in history and cinema naturally influenced his choice of profession). However, as they say, things did not go according to plan, and Kostia was expelled after three years of study for failing to meet the academic requirements. Looking back on his student years later, the comedian came to understand that this had been an unsuccessful attempt and that changing career direction had proved fateful.
Trembovetskyi began looking for work immediately after being expelled. He received an offer to work as a screenwriter in the capital. This marked the beginning of the future comedy star’s successful career.
Creative Career
Moving to Kyiv opened up new opportunities. Television series, popular entertainment formats – Kostia could handle it all. Of course, starting from scratch without connections in show business was not easy. At the same time, however, it offered an opportunity to build a career independently rather than trying to fit into an existing image. As quickly became clear, screenwriting had little in common with the romantic idea of the profession. Team discussions and coordinating characters with producers required additional time. But what Kostia disliked most was creating characters and situations that had little to do with the real lives of Ukrainians. Scripts required the use of conventional templates based on rural naivety or urban stereotypes. Trembovetskyi felt an inner resistance to this. Gradually, he moved towards live performances and humour that reflects real people. People with all their flaws and shortcomings, but people who are genuine and real rather than fictional.
Kostia had experience writing jokes and comedy routines even before entering the world of television. Trembovetskyi initially joined a KVN team. Later, he put his screenwriting talent to use as part of the Odesa-based team «Phantom Racer», which won its season. By the time he moved on to solo performances, Kostiantyn was fully prepared for the challenge.
Improv Live Show
Feeling the lack of live interaction with the audience, Kostia Trembovetskyi increasingly considered performing on his own. His improvisational talent and vibrant charisma called for a public stage, and at a certain point, the comedian stopped resisting and joined the Improv Live Show project. Experiencing the audience’s genuine reactions, he realised that the stage was where he belonged. The numerous positive reviews and the popularity he gained through his participation in Improv Live Show confirmed that he was on the right track.Once he stepped onto the stage, Kostia finally felt at home. Capturing every emotion, keeping the humour flowing and earning standing ovations from the audience was genuinely exhilarating. Trembovetskyi spent several seasons on the show and became one of its stars alongside Valik Mikhienko, Volodymyr Shumko, Roman Mishcheriakov and other cast members.
Creative Development
As the audience of Improv Live Show grew, Trembovetskyi’s popularity grew as well. At the same time, the comedian recognised his potential for further development. Kostia began looking for a format that would give him greater creative freedom and eventually created «The Good Bad Evil Podcast», which he started hosting with Mykhailo Rud.This format did not require a fully planned script and allowed the hosts to speak openly about topics that interested both them and their audience. The relaxed atmosphere, trust and openness appealed to viewers and opened up new opportunities for Trembovetskyi. At the same time, the artist did not abandon screenwriting and continued to participate in the creation of shows and series. Kostia also performs stand-up comedy and gives interviews to various YouTube channels.

For some people, social platforms are genuinely important and effective. For Trembovetskyi, however, they are a source of discomfort that he sees no need to put up with.Creating an impressive and «convenient» public image is not a priority for Kostia.
