Olya Tsybulska is the stage name of Ukrainian singer, TV and radio host, and songwriter Olha Pavlivna Tsybulska-Hrysiuk. The future star of Ukrainian music and media grew up in the small town of Radyvyliv in a family of a lawyer (her father previously worked as a police officer in the department for combating economic crimes) and a professional artist. The girl’s creative inclinations emerged as early as childhood. During her school years, Olha actively participated in cultural events: she took part in KVN games, performed at Ukrainian national festivals, and even hosted a wedding while she was a seventh-grade student.

During one of the concerts, graduate Olya met Mykhailo Khoma, the leader of the popular band DZIDZIO. The artist convinced the young woman to abandon her plans to enter a pedagogical university and supported her desire to achieve success in show business. Inspired by this meeting, Olya Tsybulska moved to Kyiv, where she began studying at the Leonid Utesov Academy of Variety and Circus Arts. Soon afterward, Olha received an offer from a television channel in Budapest and worked as the host of an entertainment project for a year and a half. After her contract ended, Tsybulska decided not to continue the collaboration, turned down the producer’s offer, and returned to Ukraine. After graduating from the academy, Olha began working as a junior vocal instructor. At the same time, she obtained a degree from the National Academy of Culture and Arts Management.

Creative Career

In 2007, the vocal project «Star Factory» premiered on Ukrainian television. The winners of the first season were Olya Tsybulska and Oleksandr Bodianskyi, who performed as a duo called «Dangerous Liaisons». However, just one year after their triumphant victory, the duo ceased to exist. During that time, Olya and Oleksandr managed to release three singles and shoot a music video. In 2009, Olya Tsybulska fully focused on her solo career, beginning her path as an independent performer. That same year, she also began working in radio, where she became a host, successfully combining music with media work.

In February 2015, Olya Tsybulska presented her original project «MZh» – an audio disc featuring her own poems, which were recited by well-known men from the Ukrainian show business industry. In November of the same year, the artist launched the YouTube project «The Most Melodious News» – a digest in which events from the world of show business were presented in an ironic manner. In June 2017, Tsybulska released a music video for her original song «I’m Waiting. Kiss», created in collaboration with DZIDZIO. The video became a genuine hit and entered the top 20 most popular Ukrainian-language music videos on YouTube. The track also reached the highest positions on prestigious music charts.

Style and Development as a Performer

Olya Tsybulska has consistently combined music with media work. In particular, she worked as a host on «Novyi Kanal» (the humorous show «Clipsy», the documentary program «Night Zone», and the morning entertainment show «Rise»). She repeatedly participated in the TV shows «Who’s on Top?» and «SuperIntuition». Olya Tsybulska has also established herself as a successful event host. In one interview, the star said that throughout her career she had hosted around 900 wedding ceremonies, confirming her status as one of the most popular hosts in Ukraine.

In 2018, Olya Tsybulska became the first Ukrainian singer to receive the right to shoot a music video for the official soundtrack of an animated film produced by Warner Bros. Animation. This followed her successful work on the Ukrainian dubbing of the animated film «Peter Rabbit» and the animated feature «Smallfoot». The following year, the artist launched her own YouTube show titled #bezparOLYA. In 2020, she reunited with DZIDZIO for a second duet, presenting a new music video for the track «Kitty». That same year, the singer released her debut album «No Big Deal» (the record consisted of six tracks) and presented the title single during the superfinal of the popular show «Dancing with the Stars».

Contemporary Period of Her Career

The period from 2022 to 2026 was a time of active creative work, new releases, and important concert events for Olya Tsybulska. The singer continued developing her solo career. Despite the full-scale war, she released new tracks, returned to major solo performances, and later announced a large-scale tour of Ukrainian cities.

In March 2022, following the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Olya Tsybulska evacuated from Kyiv but did not stop her creative work. On March 25, she released the song «The Day Passes» and its music video. The composition became a source of musical support for Ukrainians separated from their relatives and loved ones by the war. The video was created using the personal correspondence and photographs of the singer’s fans, giving the story a distinctly personal character.

In July of the same year, Tsybulska released the live album «A Week Before the War», recorded before the full-scale invasion. She dedicated the release to Karim Gulamov, a close friend and host on the M2 channel who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and was killed at the front.

In September 2022, the artist presented the song «Today», created together with CHILIBI, the sound producer of the winning song of Eurovision 2022. The work was dedicated to the victory of life over fear, while the video became a kind of tribute to Ukrainians forced to leave their homes because of the war. Tsybulska contributed to the composition as its lyricist and co-writer of the music.

New Achievements

In 2024, the artist’s discography was expanded with the singles «Embrace Me», «Birthday», «Sarabande», and «Our Story». The following year, the singer presented several new works at once – «Abnormal», «Loneliness», and «You Can’t Treat Me Like That». The video for «Abnormal» garnered more than one million views on YouTube. Another important release of 2025 was the song «Sinner and Earthly», recorded together with Viktor Pavlik.

In 2026, Olya Tsybulska presented a new song «Dance», which she created for her mother. Unfortunately, the loss of the artist’s father became the reason behind the creation of the composition. Watching her mother learn to rebuild her life, her daughter found an emotional impulse for the song in this story. In it, she expressed emotions and words that are far from always possible to say in person.

On March 12, 2026, Tsybulska gave her first solo concert in Kyiv since the beginning of the full-scale war. The major performance took place on the stage of the ICCM (October Palace). In spring 2026, the singer also traveled to the United States for charity performances. Concerts took place in New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia, among other cities. In autumn 2026, the star embarked on a large-scale tour of Ukrainian cities with a new program.

Social Activity

Olya Tsybulska is an active participant in civic initiatives, a philanthropist, and an animal rights advocate. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, Olya Tsybulska has remained in Ukraine, actively supporting her people. However, she left the country for a while for the safety of her son. The singer regularly participates in charity concerts to raise funds, has become an ambassador for several major foundations, and actively cooperates with Ukrainian authorities in the field of information policy. At the beginning of the full-scale war, Olya initiated a joint project with the «I Am Not Alone» charity foundation aimed at helping internally displaced people find employment. In June 2022, together with her team, the singer presented the interactive film «I’m Waiting. Kiss. To Our Heroes at Night».

The singer holds charity concerts and tours to raise funds for the needs of the army: ambulances, equipment, and many other things necessary to bring Victory closer and save the lives of our defenders.
