Roxolana is a solo musical project of Roxolana Syrota. The singer writes her own songs in Ukrainian and English. Born in Lviv, Roksolana spent most of her life in the capital. Here she graduated from Kyiv University named after Shevchenko. Interestingly, as a child, the girl dreamed of serving in the special forces. But the desire for creativity turned out to be stronger.
Roksolana took part in the talent show "Voice of the Country-9". She became widely known thanks to her performance at the National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. Since that time, the singer has been constantly involved in various social and art projects, among them the unique format Ukraine is, which combined modern music and Ukrainian poetry. Roxolana also became a participant in the online project initiated by Olena Zelenska, "Tell me honestly, how are you?"
Creativity that teaches you to enjoy every moment of life
Roxolana's musical debut was the song "Eyes", which appeared on all Ukrainian music platforms. Thousands of listeners noted the beauty of the song and fell in love with it from the first notes. The success of the composition inspired the artist to create new songs, in which Roxolana invests the main idea: life cannot be postponed for later, one must be able to get joy from the smallest trifles. And now, among the most famous works of Roxolana are the songs "Ochima", "Hold on", "Three minutes", "Don't be afraid", I'm Gone.
Today, the singer gives many concerts for the military and participates in charity projects aimed at helping Ukrainians. Among them is the special campaign "Save my dream", thanks to which 100 children got the opportunity to play the desired musical instruments.
Roksolana's brother is a military chaplain, and in this difficult time he always charges the singer with positivity, emphasizing how important it is to continue living and doing something.
In August 2022, Roxolana was awarded the Order of Princess Olga III degree.
