Vitalina Bibliv is a Ukrainian theatre and film actress, Honored Artist of Ukraine, star of the TV hits «House of Happiness» and «Women's Doctor», as well as the creator of the character Baba Natasha from comedy sketches on Instagram.
The Artist's Formation
Vitalina Bibliv was born in Vasylkiv, Kyiv region. As a child, she could hardly have imagined that one day she would win nationwide love and become one of the most recognizable Ukrainian actresses. The decisive push toward choosing a profession came neither from her family nor from a chance acquaintance, but from a schoolteacher. It was the teacher who saw the girl's stage charisma and courage, which Vitalina herself did not initially recognize in herself. In the ninth grade, Bibliv was given the role of Verka Serduchka for Teacher's Day. She doubted whether she could handle it, while the teacher was convinced of her abilities. The result was not long in coming – already at the age of 14, Vitalina was able to literally bring the school assembly hall to its feet, turning an ordinary performance into a small stage show that was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience. The future star had many childhood dreams, and becoming an actress was not immediately the only option. After school, Vitalina wanted to become a clown and travel the world. However, this would have meant limiting herself to specialized education, while the girl wanted to obtain a higher education. So she entered the Ivan Karpenko-Karyi Kyiv National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television, where she studied in the workshop of renowned theatre figure Les Taniuk.

The talent of the graduate actress began to attract the attention of various theatres. After graduating from university, she worked at «Free Stage» and «Atelier», and in 2008 became part of the troupe of the «Golden Gate» Kyiv Academic Theatre. At the same time, the actress collaborated with the Kyiv Academic Young Theatre and the «TE-ART» production agency. An important milestone in her theatre career came in 2015. That year, Vitalina played Slava in the play «Stalkers» by Stas Zhyrkov and effectively became one of the major theatrical discoveries of that period. After the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, she categorically refused any cooperation with representatives of the aggressor country and directed a significant part of her public activity toward supporting Ukrainians. During the occupation of the Kyiv region, the actress spent 33 nights in a bomb shelter in Bucha district. She helped local residents, participated in coordinating the distribution of humanitarian aid and searching for necessary medicines. To help people cope psychologically, Bibliv created the humorous character Baba Natasha on social media, through which she supported morale and helped Ukrainians get through an extremely difficult period. Today, the actress regularly participates in charity fundraisers for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and supports social initiatives. Her public activity is not limited to volunteering – Bibliv also works with the younger generation and combines acting with teaching, training future performers at the Kyiv College of Culture and Arts.
