The initiator of the project was Vladislav Troitsky, who gathered musicians capable of breathing new energy into the masterpieces of folklore. Today, the project performs at the most prestigious festivals in the world, from Glastonbury to WOMADelaide, and continues to popularize Ukrainian culture. In 2020, DakhaBrakha's work was awarded the Shevchenko Prize.
