Alena Omargalieva is a Ukrainian singer, member of the popular duet Tamerlan and Alena. Alena Omargalieva has Kazakh roots, although she was born in the heart of Ukraine – the city of Cherkasy. Music from an early age became an integral part of the life of the future star of the Ukrainian stage. The girl participated in vocal competitions. And at the age of 15 she became a student of the prestigious variety and circus school, which gave a start to many Ukrainian artists.
Alena probably became interested in the creative industry under the influence of her family. The girl's aunt Natalia Tsyganenko is connected with the world of culture and art. Tsyganenko is known as a theater and film actress and has a large audience thanks to her roles in television series. The whole family supported the young singer. And especially her father Konstantin, who made every effort to ensure that his daughter had all the conditions for creative development. The head of the family helped organize the first concerts, invested in Alena's development as an artist.
Alena Omargalieva takes her first steps towards popularity and recognition among fans of musical creativity by joining the D.Lemma group. Later, she joins the groups Do not Touch, XL Delux, Karaty and Lyon. Collaboration with various groups and producers gives the singer invaluable stage experience. In 2009, at the Black Sea Games festival, Olena Omargalieva shared the victory in the nomination "Best Female R'n'B Vocal of Ukraine" with Mika Newton. The event became a vivid manifestation of recognition of the talent of the performers.
2009 was marked for Alena Omargalieva not only by professional achievements, but also by changes in her personal life. It was then that the singer met Yuri Tolokonnikov, known to listeners as Tamerlan, on social networks - Elena's future stage partner and future husband. United by a common passion for music, the artists began a productive creative collaboration. Thus was born the duet TamerlanAlena.
The first joint composition was the song "Distance". The next single, “I Want to Be with You,” became a real hit. Accompanied by a video clip shot in the USA, the track instantly won over a large audience and expanded the ranks of the duo’s fans. In 2010, the musicians presented a video for the song “Everything Will Be Fine.” And the following year, the song “Baby Be Mine” brought the group another significant distinction – the “Crystal Microphone” award (in the “Ringtone of the Year” nomination).
After releasing the album “Sing with Me” and conquering the music charts as part of the TamerlanAlena project, Alena Omargalieva began a solo career under the name Alena Omargalieva. The transition to independent stage activity was marked by such releases as “On the Edge,” “Raspberry Wine.” The singer with bright charisma has opened up in a new way – tender, deep, emotional. In her compositions, Alena Omargalieva focuses on female strength, sensuality and inner vulnerability. At the same time, she is not afraid to work in new musical styles and experiment with sound.
The song “On the Edge” is dedicated to women who are eagerly awaiting the return of their relatives from the war. The track has already become an emotional support for many listeners. Alena not only creates new music. The singer gives a second life to hits that were created in a duet with Tamerlan, adapting them into Ukrainian. In particular, the first to be released were updated versions of the songs “Holy Water” and “Do You Want”. All this is part of the solo program that fans will be able to enjoy at the artist’s live shows.
Olena Omargalieva is a vivid example of a modern Ukrainian woman who successfully combines creative activity, motherhood and an active civic position. Despite the trials brought by the war, the star did not give up. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the artist and her son were forced to temporarily move to Poland. However, even abroad, she did not stay away and maintained contact with Ukraine, provided informational and moral assistance.
After returning home, Olena completely immersed herself in volunteer work. She joined in raising funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, helped children affected by the war. She supported animal shelters. The initiatives of the opinion leader unite active citizens around her and become a driving force for positive change.
Despite all the difficulties, the artist does not stop working on new material. Alena Omargalieva maintains contact with the audience and develops her solo project. The artist's work today is not only music, but also a voice of support, faith and hope.
