The Artist's Formation
Childhood in the small industrial city of Marhanets in Dnipropetrovsk region fostered in Anzhelika a desire for creativity, self-expression and finding her own path. In her youth, she considered many different professions – she dreamed of becoming an investigator or a surgeon. Eventually, she realized that acting could combine her many interests and allow her to explore people, psychology and complex life stories at the same time.
Anzhelika took her first serious steps toward the stage in her native Marhanets, where she attended a drama club. An important event was the arrival of a director from the Dnipropetrovsk College. After seeing performances by the young actors, he took particular notice of Hyrych and advised her to consider a professional career in theatre. For a girl who was very doubtful about her own abilities at the time, this assessment became life-changing – the words of an outside professional helped her believe in herself.

Anzhelika did not manage to enter a theatre university on her first attempt. However, the failure did not make her give up on her dream. On the contrary, she saw the result as additional motivation and that same evening wrote an entire page in her diary about how she would definitely become a student at the institution of her choice the following year.
In 1995, Anzhelika Hyrych graduated from the Ivan Karpenko-Karyi Kyiv State Institute of Theatrical Art. She studied acting under the guidance of renowned theatre educator, professor and People's Artist of Ukraine Mykola Rushkovskyi. This classical theatre school became the foundation of her subsequent creative work and stage style.
Theatre was not the only important part of the actress's personal development. At the age of 18, while studying at the theatre university, Anzhelika became acquainted with Kundalini yoga. This encounter later became a significant part of her spiritual journey, influencing not only her personal life but also her perception of people and their inner world.

Immediately after graduating, in 1995, Anzhelika Hyrych began her professional career as an actress at the Kyiv Theatre for Young Audiences on Lypky.
