Katya Mamaisur is a Ukrainian stand-up comedian, organizer of open mic events and stand-up courses, as well as a photographer and videographer.
Professional career
Katya Mamaisur earned her higher education at Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, where she studied psychology. She later continued her professional development at the School of Psychotherapy Development in Kyiv and also studied photography at Patyakaschool. This combination of psychological knowledge and creative skills would later have a noticeable influence on her unique approach to working with audiences.
The future performer did not begin her professional career in the stand-up industry. For more than five years, she worked professionally as a wedding and family photographer and videographer, creating projects in Brovary and Kyiv. However, she eventually decided to master another field of activity.
Katya began actively performing stand-up comedy when she was approaching the age of thirty. Her debut on the comedy stage quickly grew into a serious creative career. Thanks to her charisma, openness, and natural sense of humor, she soon became a prominent figure in Kyiv's stand-up community. Before long, the comedian became a co-host of Open Mic events and later, together with comedian Oleksandr Zhypetskyi, launched her own educational project, «Stand-Up Flex». Within the project, Katya teaches aspiring performers how to work with material, write original monologues, develop improvisation skills, and feel confident on stage. Today, her work combines performance, teaching, and supporting a new generation of Ukrainian comedians.
