Kozak Siromaha is the pseudonym of Ukrainian singer Oleksandr Lyubbozhenko, who creates compositions in the ethno style. Oleksandr spent his childhood in Dnipro. His parents worked at a geological station, and the boy himself initially chose a completely non-stage path – he received an education as a turner-miller at a vocational school, simultaneously mastering the craft of a tailor. However, fate confidently led him to culture and the stage. Later, the young man entered the National Academy of Managers of Culture and Arts, where he mastered choreography and received a diploma.
After 2014, Oleksandr Lyubbozhenko joined the special unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs "Sicheslav" and participated in the ATO, which significantly influenced his inner world and further creativity.
Becoming an artist
For a while, Oleksandr worked by profession and even headed the Trance Dance dance group, which specialized in hip-hop. Even then, he was drawn to creativity and music - in 1999, as part of the rap group DND, he won the "Chervona Ruta" festival, which became an important stage in his development as a performer. Later, there was cooperation with the "Tattva" theater, as well as experience in various professions - from construction to the fitness industry. But despite everything, the environment constantly pushed the talented Dnipro resident to the stage, as if sensing Oleksandr's true calling.
Olexandr came to music back in 1997 – he sang with the Cossacks, played the kobzar just on the streets of the Dnieper, forming his own sound and sense of the genre. The artist is convinced that he did not choose music, but it chose him. Since childhood, songs were around him – the nanny played the bayan, his grandmother sang with him, and the boy sang along and moved to the rhythm. Despite the fact that there was no opportunity to attend a music school, the love for singing grew into a real calling, which later brought him to the professional stage.
The name Kozak Siromakha appeared back in 2011. This is what his fellow Cossacks called Oleksandr, and this name became not just a pseudonym, but a part of his identity as an artist and leader.
Creative path
In 2018, Kozak Siromakha announced himself to a wider audience by becoming a participant in the 8th season of the show “Voice of the Country”. This debut on the big stage became significant - participation in the project opened up new horizons, gave popularity and gave impetus to development in the music industry. The artist himself perceives this stage as a sign of fate - an opportunity to express himself through music with maximum sincerity.
It was then that Lyubbozhenko met Stas Chorny and Ivan Klymenko, which later developed into creative cooperation. This gave a new impetus to creativity - new songs, singles and live performances appeared, which began to actively find their fans. In 2022, cooperation began with the ENKO label, founded by alyona alyona and producer and musician Ivan Klymenko. In the same year, producer Mykola Kucheryavyi joined the team, who stimulated the artist's further development.
A real breakthrough for Kozak Siromaha was the release of his debut album Vytynanka in August 2024, recorded together with lyre player Gordiy Starukh. The record became a unique phenomenon - it features exclusively Ukrainian folk instruments, which creates an authentic sound and distinguishes it from other releases. The album received recognition among cultural figures, and also found a special response among the military - this audience became the most important indicator of success for the artist.
The inspiration for completing the album was a large-scale tour of the villages of Ukraine. The concerts were held in an open format - without selling tickets, so anyone could join. During the month, Kozak Siromaha performed in 30 settlements, turning this tour into a real cultural festival of live music.
