Becoming an artist
SadSvit is the stage name of the Ukrainian musician and performer Bohdan Rozvadovsky, who creates compositions in the styles of post-punk, alt-pop and synth-pop. The hometown of the young star of the modern independent scene is Ivano-Frankivsk.Music captivated the guy in his youth, long before the first releases and live performances. At the age of 14, Bogdan got a laptop and literally immersed himself in the industry of track creation: he installed Fruity Loops and began to experiment with sound for hours. It was from this program that the recognizable sound of the musician grew, in which electronics meet with living emotions.
Within a year, the guy knew how to create full-fledged compositions and even took his first orders for beats as a freelancer. An account appeared on SoundCloud, cooperation with Frankivsk rappers, the first steps as a producer and performer. Bogdan started with hip-hop, but later discovered post-punk and indie rock - and this radically changed his style. The sound became more atmospheric, deeper, less straightforward. The artist speaks honestly about his early works - technically they could have been better, but it was in those raw tracks that the mood was born, which fans still recognize today.
The beginning of a musical career
At the age of 15, Bohdan released his debut single - a lyrical rap, which became his first bid for success. In 2020, the track "Broken Dreams" collected 100 thousand plays in four days - for the young artist it was a powerful recognition. SoundCloud algorithms worked in his favor - the first likes gave impetus, and the songs began to be recommended to a wider audience. This is how the first wave of fans was formed and Rozvadovsky's popularity as a solo artist grew. The image of SadSvit was finally formed with the release of the track "Don't Forget" in 2020. The pseudonym itself is symbolic: Sad - "sad", Svit - "world". Together - "Sumny Svit". And this is not just a name, but a concept of creativity, where melancholy is combined with the romance of youth.
Creative development
On December 4, 2020, SadSvit's debut album was released - the mini-album "Sumatokha". At the end of the same year, another release appeared - "Cold", created in collaboration with SadNovelist. This collective project became an important milestone for both the artist and his audience. On December 13, 2021, the first full-length album Cassette was released. Then the track "Molodist" became a viral hit on TikTok and hit the Spotify charts - 7th place in the Top 50 trends of Ukraine and 95th place in the Ukraine Top 100. A few days later, the artist presented another album - "20&21", consolidating the status of one of the most notable young musicians in the country.
After the start of the full-scale war, Bohdan left for Vienna, and later moved to Warsaw. In the spring of 2022, the song "Cassette" unexpectedly for the author got a new life - it was used in a video about the defense of Mariupol. The track topped the Spotify Viral 50 and Shazam Top 200 charts, and the number of streams increased several times. The sound, which was previously associated with nostalgia, suddenly acquired a deeper meaning and became an emotional symbol of the time. The singer himself admits that the popularity caused by the realities of war causes mixed feelings, but also great pride.
In May 2025, SadSvit's large-scale European tour took place. Concerts were held in Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland, where live performances gathered hundreds of devoted fans.
