Band history
E.K.A is a Ukrainian rock band founded in 2021 by singer from Luhansk region Katya Boyko. At the start of its journey, the E.K.A project had a distinctly dance sound, focused on a light genre and rhythmic music, which quickly found a response among a wide audience.
However, gradually the group's creativity underwent a noticeable transformation. The sound shifted towards a rock direction, where the gentle and sensual vocals of frontwoman Katya Boyko began to contrast with rich instrumental parts. This change in style not only expanded the band's musical horizons, but also allowed for a deeper exploration of the emotional component of each composition.
Creative path
Over time, the stage, live performances, and constant work on new tracks became a central part of the life of the leader of E.K.A, forming a confident creative vector. The debut release in a new sound was the single "Everywhere", which was included in the upcoming album. This song was presented as part of the project "This is how memory works", dedicated to Dana Didik (a 15-year-old public activist died as a result of a terrorist attack in Kharkiv during the Unity March).
In 2022, the band released another important single - "You Love Me". The video clip for the track was created in Portugal before the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, and it was directed by the famous clip maker Vlad Razikhovsky. The premiere of the video was presented on Katya Boyko's birthday, which gave the release a special meaning for the artist and her fans.
The culmination of the five-year creative period of the E.K.A project was the album "Everywhere", which was released in 2026. Work on the album continued in parallel with active concert activities and charity performances. The album included 13 tracks - each of them forms a holistic musical story, filled with experiences, memories and inner searches. This album is distinguished by its melody, sincerity of performance and thoughtful arrangement. The release allowed the E.K.A group to gain wide recognition among fans and gradually establish itself in the Ukrainian music industry.

The sound of the E.K.A band is a combination of emotional lyrics with the powerful energy of rock sound, which creates a special atmosphere of the tracks. Each song is a separate composition with its own mood and meaning, which transports the listener to the world of personal stories, experiences and internal dialogues.

Civic position
After the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the E.K.A band actively joined charitable initiatives. The band held a large-scale tour with concerts both in Ukraine and abroad, combining creativity with an important social mission.
The performances in Lithuania were particularly effective. Thanks to eleven charity concerts, the band was able to raise funds to purchase cars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, a charity tour took place in Poland, during which the band raised money for the needs of combat units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Thus, the band's concerts became not only a cultural event, but also a tool for assistance that unites people around a common goal.
