Becoming an artist
Roman Mishcheryakov is a Ukrainian comedian, screenwriter and TV presenter. The hometown of the star of the country's modern comedy scene is Donetsk. Roman's father is a miner. His mother is a primary school teacher by profession. Roman felt from an early age that jokes were his element. Laughter always reigned in the family home, and this formed an exceptional talent for comedy in the young man. The role of the artist's bright charisma cannot be dismissed, thanks to which Mishcheryakov managed to win the favor of a large audience of humor fans.
A bright representative of the domestic entertainment industry received his higher education at Donetsk National Technical University. He received a master's degree in the field of "Telecommunications Systems and Networks".
Creative path
It was during his studies at the university that Roman's movement along the track of popularity and recognition began. The comedian's debut took place on the stage of the KVN. And already in 2015, Mishcheryakov won the first season of the show "League of Laughter" as part of the "Two Captains 1955" team. After graduating from university, he tried himself as a TV presenter, having passed a casting on a local TV channel. Thus began the artist's professional career in the media and humor. He developed skills in such a complex genre as comedic improvisation. Over time, Roman Mishcheryakov became famous throughout the country and won the hearts of thousands of devoted fans.
Among the most popular projects with the artist's participation:
- “A Million Dollar Couple”. The reality show participants are women and men, for whom the organizers prepared a series of tests. The goal of the participants was to create real couples. The two who reached the finals received a cash prize. Roman showed himself in the show not only as a comedian, but rather as a host. The artist notes that during the filming he had to meet and communicate with very different people and learn the story of each;
- Improv Live Show is the first show in Ukraine in the comedy improvisation genre. The main creators of improvisation on stage are talented comedians. And as guests of the project are stars of music, theater, cinema, opinion leaders;
- “Women's Quarter” is a humorous entertainment TV show of the Studio “Quarter 95”;
- “Tell me a story”. This is a charitable comedy-historical show that airs on the YouTube channel “Tochka Szvori”. The project raises funds for the needs of our defenders. The author of the idea is Roman Mishcheryakov’s wife Yulia;
- projects of “Underground Stand-Up”, the “VKV” team, “New Channel” and others.
Roman also collaborates with film directors and producers. In particular, he starred in the famous TV series “Hotel Galicia”, “Charged”, “Connection”.
Social activity
From the first days of the full-scale war, Roman Mishcheryakov has been participating in charitable initiatives aimed at supporting Ukrainian defenders. The artist, in collaboration with his comedy colleagues, gives stand-up concerts, during which auctions are held in favor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, the artist reposts information about other important collections on his own pages in social networks. In 2022, on his birthday, Roman announced a collection for beads for defenders. The actor was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the necessary amount was accumulated.
