Ruslan Danylchenko is a Ukrainian actor, screenwriter, director, and the founder and director of the «Kombat» Charitable Foundation. In the past, he was an officer and worked in internal affairs. Today, he is one of the most prominent performers in Ukrainian commercial theatre.
The Path to an Acting Career
Open sources reveal very little about Ruslan Danylchenko’s childhood and certain stages of his youth. The actor is not inclined to make his private life public, so his biography away from the stage remains largely closed to a wider audience. It is known that Ruslan Danylchenko has a significant sporting background: he is a Ukrainian hand-to-hand combat champion and has also trained professionally in judo and kudo.
At one point, Danylchenko worked within the internal affairs system, served as an officer, and commanded the «Sokil» special unit. Despite this professional path associated with law enforcement, Ruslan never abandoned his dream of the stage.

One of the most notable dramatic roles of this charismatic Ukrainian was Woland in «The Master and Margarita». In the actor’s portrayal, Woland emerges as a bearer of cold reason and a force that destroys the old and brings its own sense of justice to the world.
Among his comic roles, audiences are particularly fond of Clerk Pistriak from «The Konotop Witch», the Father of the Family in «Anything Goes in Amsterdam», as well as other characters in which the artist demonstrates an exceptional talent for comic transformation.
Civic Position and Social Activity
Ruslan Danylchenko’s theatrical work is complemented by active charitable efforts. The actor is the director and founder of the «Kombat» Charitable Foundation, through which he and his team direct funds toward the needs of Ukrainian military personnel. Areas of support include assistance to individual units, including the 116th Brigade from the Poltava region. As part of the foundation’s work, funds are collected and promptly transferred to meet the military’s urgent needs. Examples include purchasing and paying for Starlink when the equipment was urgently required by defenders.
Danylchenko himself views this kind of cooperation as society’s shared responsibility toward the military and believes that everyone should contribute to supporting the army, at least within their own means.
The actor’s connection with the military exists not only through charitable initiatives. Ukrainian defenders also gladly attend performances in which Ruslan Danylchenko takes part.
