Path to a musical career
Arsen Mirzoyan is a Ukrainian singer, songwriter, Honored Artist of Ukraine. Music and creativity did not immediately appear in the life of the owner of a recognizable timbre and bright charisma. Arsen Mirzoyan was born and raised in Zaporizhzhia – a city with a rich history and outstanding achievements. He received higher education at the Zaporizhzhia State Engineering Academy, where he mastered the profession of an engineer in non-ferrous metallurgy. After graduating, he began his career at the Motor Sich enterprise. Later, he moved to work in the mechanical workshop of the Zaporizhstal plant, dedicating the next twelve years to the cause.
The future star of the stage developed a love for music and an interest in the sphere of culture and creativity during his school years. The guy actively participated in various mass events, performed at concerts. Arsen also wrote poems. Some of them later became the basis of the artist's songs. However, at that time, the young man did not even imagine that music would become an integral part of his life. Instead, he saw himself as an ordinary worker and a reliable support for his family. The talented young man never received a musical education, but fate had its own plans.
Creative path
In 1998, when Arsen was twenty, his friends invited him to join an amateur rock band. Over time, the small group turned into the Totem collective. The composition of the team was constantly changing. And the project eventually transformed into Mirzoyan's solo initiative called Baburka. The band's music quickly found a response from a wide audience. The band became a participant in popular Ukrainian festivals, such as "Perlyna sezonu" and "Chervona Ruta", and gained recognition from new fans.
During one of the performances, Arsen met the leader of the Tartak band, Oleksandr Polozhynsky. At that time, the singer was the host of the program "Svizha krov" on the M1 TV channel. This project discovered young talents who were on the way to widespread popularity. Thanks to this, the participants of Baburka appeared on the air. Everyone started talking about Arsen Mirzoyan's rapid rise.
However, the year 2000 almost became fatal in terms of creativity. Suddenly, Arsen Mirzoyan lost hearing in his left ear. And later he stopped hearing at all. This became a serious test, the musician spent a lot of time on treatment. Thanks to the efforts of doctors, he managed to restore his hearing and return to his favorite business. Despite the difficulties, Mirzoyan did not give up on his dream. Having recovered, with new strength, the artist continued his journey to the hearts of fans, developing a unique style and improving his sound.
“Voice of the Country” and the development of the performer
In conquering the music industry, Arsen Mirzoyan’s participation in the “Voice of the Country” project was a landmark for him. In 2011, the artist took part in a vocal show on the “1+1” TV channel. For the casting, the singer chose the powerful composition “I Will Not Surrender Without a Fight” by the Okean Elzy group. The spectacular performance impressed two members of the jury – Ruslana and Stas Piekha. Both mentors pressed the button, but Arsen decided to join Stas Piekha’s team. Arsen Mirzoyan’s name was heard throughout the country.
Participating in “The Voice of the Country” was a difficult test for the musician. He was even called a “rebel” among the show participants. However, despite his undeniable talent and bright performance in the final, Mirzoyan failed to win. The singer took fourth place.
Solo career
Arsen Mirzoyan’s discographic debut took place in November 2011. The album “Buttons” consisted of 10 songs. The bonus, eleventh composition was the song “Ivan Kupala”, recorded in collaboration with Toneya Matvienko. The second release “Uncomfortable Beds” took place in 2013 and contained 11 tracks. In 2015, the album “Night” was released, and the following year, the album “Paper Snow”. In 2017, Arsen released the album “Words and Notes”, which included 11 songs. Arsen Mirzoyan’s fifth studio album, entitled “Ingredient”, was released in 2019. The album was presented during a concert on the stage of the Palace of Ukraine. 2021 brought fans of Arsen Mirzoyan’s work a new album, “Monarchy”.

Together with a team of volunteers, Mirzoyan initiated a tour called #6992kmofthestateborder. Thanks to the efforts of the entire team, more than 1,200 vehicles were delivered and handed over to the front.
