- Place of birth – Nezvysko village (Ukraine)

Iryna Levkun is a Ukrainian stand-up artist, actress, and leader of the comedy team «Fam Fatale». Wide recognition and popularity came to Iryna through her participation in the «League of Laughter» Festival. In 2026, the actress became part of the main cast of the creative team «Women’s Quarter».
The Rise of the Comedian
Iryna was born in a picturesque village in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, where she also finished school. Later, Iryna moved to Chernivtsi, where a new stage of her life began. She entered Chernivtsi National University and earned a master’s degree in history and archaeology, successfully graduating from the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations. However, despite her serious academic background, creativity always remained an important part of her life.
Her love for the comedy genre began in her youth. The future artist enthusiastically watched popular television comedy shows and later started creating jokes herself. However, she began working on them professionally while studying at university. According to Iryna, humor constantly accompanied her in different areas of life – during studies, work, and participation in various projects. She always returned to it, although for a long time she did not perceive it as a possible profession. The future comedian was convinced that stand-up and jokes were only a hobby, as this was the attitude often expressed by her parents.
Creative Career
Persistence and constant self-improvement brought results. Iryna Levkun became a participant in three seasons of the project «League of Laughter. Volunteer Landing», where she performed as part of the «Fam Fatale» team. This team helped Iryna gain recognition among a wide audience and make a name for herself in the Ukrainian comedy industry.
Another important achievement was her victory in the television show «Make a Comedian Laugh: The New Version» on the Novyi Kanal. Every performance, concert, and broadcast brought the actress closer to professional recognition, while her charisma, personal style, and natural sense of humor gradually won the hearts of fans.
First Steps in Comedy
Iryna recalls that back in 2019 she decided to apply for an audition for «Women’s Quarter». At that time, the future comedy star was an ordinary university student who performed in the local «League of Laughter». Her team was not even able to reach the regional stage. Despite this, the girl sincerely believed in her abilities and was convinced that her talent would eventually be noticed.
Levkun even said that almost nobody knew them at the time, but a few years would be enough for people to start talking about the team. These words later turned out to be prophetic. Some time later, the team joined the television «League of Laughter», and its popularity began to grow rapidly. It was then that Iryna became the frontwoman of «Fam Fatale» and turned into the true leader of the creative group.
During their work, the team collaborated with many famous coaches, including Iryna Soponaru, Yurii Velykyi, and other representatives of «Kvartal». After performances, participants of other teams and mentors often approached the artists backstage, saying: «This is Kvartal». For Iryna and her team, such recognition became a true compliment. The team began thinking more seriously about how their style of women’s humor could naturally fit the format of «Women’s Quarter». While working on new sketches, the girls even joked among themselves that some scenes would have been revealed much better on that stage.
«Women’s Quarter»
The dream of becoming part of «Women’s Quarter» stayed with Iryna for many years. Later, she even began to think that this opportunity had already been lost because no new auditions were announced. Therefore, the unexpected invitation became a real surprise. The artist admitted that it was the first time she felt that sometimes what you want comes precisely when you stop holding on to it too tightly.
Her debut on the «Kvartal» stage was immediately a success. Iryna was entrusted with the role of Mariia Tykha, whom she had to parody. The comedian honestly admitted that she was very nervous because working with the image of such a well-known person was a great responsibility. As a result, the performance received a positive response from the audience, and Mariia Tykha herself appreciated the parody. Later, the two women even became friends.
The Impact of Creativity on Iryna’s Life
According to Iryna, her previous experience performing in a women’s team became a huge advantage for her. It helped her better understand the female audience, sense their reactions, and create jokes that work equally well for both women and men. The experience gained in the «League of Laughter» also proved extremely valuable, as it allowed her to quickly adapt to the inner workings of a television project – developing sketches, introductions, and the entire creative process.
The reaction of her parents also became especially symbolic. They had once been skeptical about the profession of a comedian, but after their daughter was invited to «Kvartal», they completely changed their opinion. They honestly admitted that they had been wrong and realized that humor truly could be a full-fledged profession.
Iryna herself says that she now has the opportunity to bring her own ideas, vision, and creative solutions to the project, and such collaboration makes her truly happy. Moreover, humor gave her not only a career but also personal happiness: the actress met her future husband while participating in the «League of Laughter».
Creative Development
The full-scale war became a difficult challenge for Iryna, but at the same time it gave her a new impulse for development in stand-up comedy. The comedian felt a strong need to speak from the stage about what truly hurts her personally and society as a whole. Levkun believes that after 2022, Ukrainian comedy artists began to feel much greater responsibility toward their audience. If previously the main task was simply to make people laugh in a pub or concert hall, today humor increasingly helps express personal civic, social, and political positions.
Stand-up became a way for Iryna to help people briefly distract themselves from difficult news, reset their thoughts, and at the same time look at challenging events from another perspective. Iryna is convinced that true inner strength comes not when you mock others, but when you can honestly joke about yourself.
According to the comedian, Ukrainians have always been a strong nation, but it was the war that revealed a new level of inner resilience. Levkun considers humor one of the main tools of this resilience. If used correctly, it can not only support others but also help preserve one’s own mental health.
Stand-up During the War
Iryna believes that during wartime, it is necessary to joke at least in order not to lose common sense. At the same time, the war has become the strictest filter for any kind of humor.
That is why in her stand-up performances the comedian chooses topics she has personally experienced. At the same time, most of these stories turn out to be familiar to almost every Ukrainian. These include air raid alerts, blackouts, Russian aggression, new realities of life, and everyday challenges. Thanks to this, viewers easily recognize themselves in the jokes, and every performance becomes a sincere, friendly conversation with the audience. As Iryna herself jokes, from all over the world – one successful joke from every comedian.
Iryna Levkun on Stage and in Life
Despite her confident stage image, Iryna is completely different in real life. On stage – both in the «League of Laughter» and in «Women’s Quarter» – she often appears as a strong, self-confident, sometimes even slightly arrogant woman who fully controls the situation, never doubts herself, and always knows what to say.
However, outside the stage, the artist describes herself as a very anxious person. She does not like conflicts and tries to resolve any disagreement as quickly as possible, even if it is completely minor. If conflict becomes the basis of many jokes on stage, in real life Iryna avoids such situations as much as possible because they cause her strong internal discomfort.
At the same time, this anxiety also has its advantages: it helps her be extremely responsible, punctual, complete all tasks on time, and meet deadlines. Although constant worries can sometimes exhaust those around her, the comedian herself believes that today this trait rather helps her remain more attentive and cautious. In modern realities, according to the actress, this is an undeniable advantage.
