Becoming an artist
Muayad (Muayad Abdelrahim) is a Ukrainian singer, whom a wide audience learned about in 2021 during the young man’s participation in the talent show “Everyone Sings”. Muayad is originally from Odesa and has Syrian roots. Thus, the life path of the future star from the very beginning combined two cultures – Ukrainian and Syrian.
Almost immediately after birth, the boy’s family moved to his father’s homeland in Syria. And at the age of seven, Muayad returned to Ukraine. It was this cultural interweaving that later influenced the artist's music, style and stage image.
The love for music manifested itself in early childhood - the future performer sang with pleasure during family trips. For the first time, Muayad drew attention to his abilities during an audition at a music school. And since 2016, he began to purposefully engage in vocals, gradually turning his hobby into professional creativity and preparing the ground for a future in the music industry.
The beginning of his creative path
Muayad's debut on the big stage took place in 2017. The young man took part in the project "The Voice. Children". It was there that he declared himself as a strong performer with expressive charisma, able to touch the audience from the first notes. But the real breakthrough came in 2021, when the 16-year-old singer won the large-scale TV show "Everyone Sings". The performance with the song "People Like Ships" by the Skryabin group caused a real sensation - all 100 judges stood up from their seats, giving Muayad the maximum score. In the final, the guy received 84 points and took first place.
The skillful performance of complex compositions, deep timbre and emotional delivery brought the young talent recognition not only among the jury, but also among the audience. The artist was even called "indigo", emphasizing his special nature. Among those who highly appreciated Muayad's talent was Natalia Mogilevskaya, who noted the guy's potential and wished him further success in his career.
In the same year, the performer took third place at the Black Sea Games festival, which further consolidated his position in Ukrainian musical culture and gave him confidence for new creative achievements.
Eurovision-2025
After the resounding victory in "Everybody Sings", broad prospects opened up for Muayad - new songs, concerts, a possible tour and active work in the industry. However, the full-scale war dramatically changed these plans. Part of the audience even doubted whether the artist would return to active creativity.
However, already in 2024, the singer found his team and began cooperation with the "a69" agency. In the same year, Muayad became a finalist in the "Ukrainian Song" project and tried his hand at the National Selection for "Eurovision 2025". This experience became especially significant for the young artist. The competition stage opened up an opportunity to declare himself in front of an audience of millions, demonstrate his own style and bring his music to a wider circle of listeners.
Despite the fact that he failed to reach the finals, participation became an important stage in the formation of the performer. Muayad said that he felt anxiety and excitement before the performances. But as soon as he went on stage, only music remained. And it was at this moment that the guy realized that he was in his place. According to the audience, Muayad was among the favorites, and his performances evoked a sincere emotional response. This period helped the singer clearly define his creative direction and move forward even more confidently.
Style and creative development
Muayad's musical style is formed at the intersection of modern sound and deep emotions coming from the heart. His songs are a combination of sincerity, melody and personal experiences that easily find a response from listeners. Syrian roots have greatly influenced the sound - the compositions sometimes feature oriental motifs, which add uniqueness to each track.
The artist is actively working on new releases, recording singles, improving his vocals and expanding his audience. Creativity is gradually gaining popularity, and Muayad's charisma and sincerity help form a strong bond with fans. One of the key goals of the performer is to become a kind of bridge between cultures, showing that music can unite people regardless of their origin.
In 2026, Muayad performed at a concert in memory of Stepan Giga at the Kyiv Palace of Sports, where he presented a cover of the composition "I Came to This World to Love". This live performance quickly gained popularity. The video went viral and became a trend on TikTok, bringing the artist a new wave of recognition.
Civic position
When Muayad returned from Syria to Odesa, he did not know a single word of Ukrainian, because his native language was Arabic. While studying at an Odesa school, he began to actively master the nightingale. Adaptation was not easy, but the support of classmates and teachers helped him quickly overcome the language barrier.
The first successes in his studies became an important incentive - even a simple correct spellingThe correct word caused applause in the class, which gave the boy confidence. Over time, the young man not only mastered the language, but also sincerely fell in love with Ukrainian culture, traditions and people. At the age of 14, Muayad consciously chose Ukrainian citizenship.
The transition to Ukrainian was a conscious choice and an important stage in the artist's work. He notes that language is not only words, but also a way of thinking and feeling the world. It is Ukrainian, according to him, that adds depth and emotionality to his songs, making them even closer to the audience.
