PARFENIUK is the stage name of Illia Parfeniuk, a popular Ukrainian singer-songwriter, performer, and influencer. His hits consistently reach the top of the Apple Music, Spotify, and Shazam charts. His music videos have amassed millions of views on YouTube. The track «She Gave Me a Tour» became a viral sensation on TikTok. However, the future star’s path to success began in childhood. His early passion for music determined the direction of Illia’s life. At just four years old, he tried playing his uncle’s accordion. From the first grade, he attended a music school, studying the bayan. Although he never completed the course and never fully mastered sheet music, he independently learned to play other instruments thanks to his absolute pitch. Interestingly, Illia’s mother recalled that even as a toddler, he would hum little melodies to himself while falling asleep.

The young musician discovered music almost entirely by intuition. Sometimes he would ask his teacher to play a melody, then reproduce it by ear. Illia says that studying was interesting to him, but he never wanted to do things exactly as others instructed. He always sought originality and independence in his creativity. After graduating from school, he enrolled at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, where he studied acting for theatre and cinema. During his student years, he became interested in hip-hop, started writing poetry, and developed his skills in the genre.

PARFENIUK made his debut on the major music scene in 2022 with the release of the track «She Gave Me a Tour». It became one of those rare cases when a simple video of Illia singing the song on a trolleybus turned into a genuine viral hit, collecting more than 7 million views. The artist quickly reached the top positions in music charts, conquered streaming platform rankings, and gained thousands of devoted fans.

PARFENIUK released his next banger, «Breaking Free», in 2023. Love and sincere emotions became the central theme of the single. With the new hit, the artist, whose charisma had already captivated a substantial audience, established himself as one of the leaders of the music charts and significantly expanded his fanbase. In May, he released the music video «She Gave Me a Tour» («2.0»), which served as an upgrade of both the video and the original track. During the summer, he presented the single «Palms», featuring a vibrant summer vibe. The song combines elements of hip-hop with the rhythms of 1980s disco. In August 2023, PARFENIUK premiered the track «By Your Side» together with its official music video. Later, the artist launched the first Ukrainian TikTok series to prepare his audience for the release of «Girl».
