The path to a musical career
Vlad Darvin is a Ukrainian singer, songwriter and producer. The future artist began to study music in childhood. Vladislav studied at a music school and at the age of five had the ability to play melodies by ear. The young talent mastered the piano, participated in school concerts, district events and competitions of young performers. In his childhood, the future star of the stage did not plan a stage career. He perceived music more as a hobby.
In 2003, Vladislav Prykhodko graduated with honors from a prestigious lyceum, after which he entered a higher educational institution. After graduating from the Institute of International Relations at the Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Vlad received a specialty in the field of international information. The young man was waiting for a job at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
However, fate led Vladislav in a different direction. In the summer of 2008, he met singer Natalia Mogilevskaya and added songs of his own to the singer's repertoire. It was that year that Vlad began his career in the music industry, taking part in the show "Star Factory". It was during this period that the singer's stage name appeared - Vlad Darwin.
Creative path
Building on his success at the "Star Factory" and moving towards popularity and recognition from a wide audience, Vladislav, a possessor of bright charisma, became the leader of the Darwin group in the fall of 2009. October 12 of the same year is considered the official date of the group's creation. At the same time, a large-scale concert debut with the program "Music of the Elements" took place. The artist's songs were heard by fans of the singer's work in the capital.
In the same year, the singer's first video clip for the song "Green Fairy" was released. In 2010, the artist presented his debut album "The Path is Open" and went on a concert tour of the cities of Ukraine. The following year, a joint work "You are the Best" was released with the popular singer Alyosha (Olena Topolya). The hit attracted the attention of new fans and was nominated for several prestigious music awards Yuna.
In 2013, the premiere of the new concert program "The Meaning of Life" and the release of the album with the same name took place. While working on the release, Vlad published each new track on his YouTube channel, gradually introducing listeners to new material. The recording of the songs lasted about a year at several Kyiv studios. All compositions were written by Vlad - both lyrics and music. Each of the songs had its own unique history of creation. The creative process took place in collaboration with various musicians.
Creative development of the performer
In 2018, Vlad Darvin actively immersed himself in studio work. The singer wrote songs for himself and for other performers. At the same time, he was engaged in sound production, coordinated the activities of the creative team. The artist personally supervised the recording of vocal parts, edited the material and provided individual consultations to young artists.
In June 2018, the mini-album "Turbulence of the Clear Sky" was released. The album included five songs. The following year, Vlad, together with singer Alyosha, announced the release date of the duet album "Golden Middle". The presentation took place on October 17 in a press-bedroom format. A closed listening session of the album was arranged for media representatives a month before the official release. A pre-premiere screening of the video clip for the first single "Pirnai" also took place.
In 2020, Vlad Darwin launched his own show PRO: WIDER on YouTube. This is a series of interviews in which the artist's guests were famous professionals from various industries. In the same year, according to TopHit, the artist's songs were played on Ukrainian radio stations over 285,000 times.
Music during war
Even during the full-scale war, the artist did not stop working. He continued to record duets with colleagues. A joint track with the star of the show "Voice of the Country" Marko Kvitka appeared, entitled "March April". The creation of the song continued in collaboration with a team of professional musicians. Producers Andriy Tropeshko and Oleksandr Sadovets joined the work on the composition. Instrumental accompaniment was provided by pianist Oleksandr Ognivets, bass guitarist Mykola Kistenev, guitarist Oleksandr Leonov, violinist Matviy Mironov. Vocals were performed by Olga Neka.
Vlad is also preparing a number of bright collaborations with young performers. Music remains a way for the artist to recover emotionally. Vlad wrote new compositions even during rocket attacks, while in hiding. At that time, the artist worked on the campaign "With Ukraine Together". And the goal of the project was to raise funds for bulletproof vests. According to the singer, the rocket hit the hotel a few hundred meters from him. And the very next day a new song was born.
The issue of family values has become particularly acute for the singer in this troubling time. Vlad is convinced that the unity of families is what saves Ukrainians today. According to the artist, if there is an opportunity to stay in Ukraine with his family, this chance should not be neglected.
Social activity
In addition to his musical activities, back in 2013, Vlad Darwin began active cooperation with the youth movement "Red Ribbon". The initiative is engaged in education in the field of combating HIV/AIDS. As a musician and producer, Vladislav, together with the project team, held dozens of large-scale concerts and meetings with young people both in Ukraine and abroad. Cooperation with "Red Ribbon" significantly influenced the singer's worldview. According to Vlad, changing the whole world is not an easy task. But everyone can start with themselves and their closest environment.
During the full-scale war, Vlad Darvin continues to support Ukrainians and charitable initiatives with his performances. During two acoustic charity concerts in Lviv and Kyiv, the Ukrainian singer and composer managed to raise half a million hryvnias for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
